MachineJunction (www.machinejunction.in) is a marketplace for used industrial machinery in India. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it.

2. Information we collect

Sellers: when you register and list machines we collect your name, mobile number, email address, company name, city and state, and the details and photos of the machines you list.

Buyers: when you submit an enquiry we collect your name and mobile number, and optionally your email address, company, city and message. When you use "Post Your Requirement" we collect your name, mobile number, optional email, the type of machine, budget, location and your description.

Technical information: like most websites, our servers and hosting providers may record basic technical information such as your device, browser and the pages you visit, to keep the website working and secure.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to run the marketplace: to create and manage accounts, publish listings, connect buyers with sellers, send you notifications about enquiries, reply to your messages, review requirements, prevent misuse and improve the website.

4. Who can see your information

When a buyer submits an enquiry on a listing, the buyer's name, mobile number and any other details they entered are sent to the seller of that machine, and to the MachineJunction team. The seller's contact details are shown to that buyer.

Requirements posted through "Post Your Requirement" are private. They are reviewed by the MachineJunction team and are not shown publicly on the website.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

5. Service providers we use

We use trusted service providers to run the website, including providers for hosting, database and login (Supabase and Vercel), image storage (Cloudflare) and sending emails (Resend). They process information only to provide their service to us.

6. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technology that are needed for the website to work, for example to keep you logged in. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the website may then not work properly.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to run the marketplace and meet legal obligations. Machine listings and enquiries may be kept for record keeping after a listing is removed.

8. Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, such as access controls and secure connections. No website can be completely secure, so please keep your password private and use a strong one.

9. Your choices

You can update your profile details after logging in. You can ask us to correct or delete your information, or to remove a listing, by emailing info.machinejunction@gmail.com. We may need to keep some information where the law requires it.

10. Children

MachineJunction is meant for businesses and adults. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with its date.
